Setting up Training Function
Setting up / Improving the Training Function - Centre of Learning
Most organizations face the challenge of scaling the training function to keep pace with company growth. Often, the model adopted when the size of the company was smaller (about 100 employees for example), is not appropriate when the number of employees grows (1000 + employees).
It is important to periodically re-examine the objectives, the training model and the execution of processes.
Our approach is to understand the context of the organization, its evolution and the training function (if it exists). This is done through discussions with various stakeholders in the organization: Business, HR, Training and Employees. We then recommend the right model for the next 3-4 years. Buy-in is obtained and details worked out. In addition, we also work with the internal training function or setup the training function as the case may be. When required, we run it for a year and hand-over to the organization after the internal capacity to manage has been built up.
Deliverables
- An appropriate model with details on how to implement
- Hand-holding during implementation, running the function (if required) and building internal capability to independently manage the function
The CC advantage
- We offer the expertise built by being at the helm of the corporate training function of a Tier I company as well as revamping and running the training function of a mid-sized IT services company
- A clear linkage of training to organizational outcomes
